Liberia knocked 4 goals into the net of Guinea Bissau, to record a historic defeat of 4-0 at the in their opening match of the 2020 West African Football Union (Wafu Zone A) Nations Cup finals at the Wusum Field in Makeni, Sierra Leone on Wednesday.
The female Lone Star took a quick 3-0 lead going into the break through Blanco FC defender Lucy Massaquoi, Senior Professional striker Bernice Willie and Earth Angels striker Angeline Kieh, who converted a penalty.Player Kieh continues her fine form, having to score a whopping 42 goals last season to become the most valuable player and highest goalscorer. Lucy Kikeh converted another set-piece back from the break to make it 4-0 as Liberia scrolled to a comfortable win. While Determine Girls striker Pauline Agbotsu was named the player of the match.
Liberia will take on Mali, who lead Group B following a 6-0 win over the Gambia in the early kick-off, on 28 February at 2:00 PM and the Gambia on 2 March at 4:00PM.
