FIFA to conduct field test at Tusa, SKD and Doris WilliamsFIFA will conduct field tests on the newly-installed artificial turfs at Tusa field in Gardnersville, Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) sports complex practice pitch in Paynesville and Doris Williams sports pitch in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
Acoustoscan Test Institute, which won the FIFA tender, will conduct the field tests on 27 May at SKD, on 28 May at Tusa and on 29 May in Buchanan. Technician Simon Andrew, who will arrive on 26 May, will ascertain, among other things, the authenticity of the turf, ball roll, ball rebound, rotational resistance and shock absorbency to determine players’ safety and pitch accuracy in line with FIFA standards.
Greenfields project coordinator Franclin Ngwese Ngabe, who oversaw the FIFA-approved projects, arrived in Liberia on 24 May.Ngabe visited Tusa and SKD on 25 May and will visit Buchanan on 26 May for preliminary checks before the tests start.
The LFA will provide the logistical support to enable the team carries out the tests.
