AFCON 2021 : Lonestar arrives in Chad- kicks off training

N’Djamena, Chad-Liberia coach Peter Butler and his technical staff completed their first training session on Friday.This was part of the process of recovery for the team ahead of their AFCON 2021 preliminary match . The training session was handled by Trainer George Gebro early this morning at the team’s Hilton Hotel in N’djamena, which was followed by a full session at the Stade Omnisports Idriss Mahamat Ouya, where the match will take place on Sunday 13th October,2019 .

Coach Butler, Assistant coach Christopher Wreh and goalkeeping coach Sunday Sieh supervised various aspects of the training.The 33-man Liberia Football Association (LFA) delegation arrived in Chad on Thursday ahead of the return leg in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.The team will hold their final training session at the same venue ahead of Sunday’s kick-off at 1:00PM local time, which will be midday in Liberia. Liberia have a slender lead following a Kpah Sherman 43rd minute goal at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville on 9 October.

The Delegation was headed by LFA Executive Committee member ,Kerlie Miller and making up the delegation are  Deputy Sports Minister Andy Quamie, LFA ECM Kelvin Bayoh, and chair for Media and Marketing Committee, Nathan Gardea,  representative from the Sports Ministry and LFA Communications Director, Danesius Marteh .Others are  administrative manager Sebastian Collins, team doctor Torsou Jallabah, physiotherapist Patrick Konuwa, kitman Tommy Johnson and caretaker Daniel Hodge.
