Hawa Conteh out of Determine Girls FC squad for CL qualifiers

Determine Girls striker international player Hawa Conteh will not be part of the squad to participate in their historic making involvement in the West African Football Union (WAFU Zone ‘A’) qualifiers of the inaugural CAF women’s Champions League in Sao Vicente, Cape Verde.

Player Conteh from all indication will not make it to travel initially with the 26-man delegation from Monrovia on 18 July like compatriot Bountou Sylla because she didn’t have a valid passport.

According to the Liberia FA , social media platform Guinea Football Federation to ensure her passport was renewed by the government on 19 July. with the help of Liberia Football Association (LFA) Technical Director Henry Browne .

The player issue got worsen with her COVID -19 results delays from Conakry to Dakar wasn’t ready in time. Conteh’s ticket was canceled and the airline’s representative told LFA media that they will need to check for a connecting flight from Praia to Sao Vicente pending a negative Covid-19 result.

The airline is now unable to find a connecting flight from Dakar to Praia and from Praia to Sao Vicente. Determine Girls will meet AS Dakar Sacré Coeur of Senegal at 7:00PM on 24 July; Mali’s AS Mandé at 4:00PM on 27 July and hosts Seven-Stars at 4:00PM on 30 July.The team with the highest points will qualify for the finals in Egypt.
