Liberia women league champions Determine Girls left Liberia leave for Champions League qualifiers
In a total of 26-man made up of players and technical team members of Determine Girls left Liberia for Cape Verde on 18 July according to a social media post by the Liberia FA .
While in Praia, they will take part in the West African Football Union (WAFU Zone ‘A’) qualifiers of the inaugural CAF women’s Champions League. Determine Girls will meet AS Dakar Sacré Coeur of Senegal at 7:00PM on 24 July; Mali’s AS Mandé at 4:00PM on 27 July and hosts Seven-Stars at 4:00PM on 30 July.
The delegation, which is headed by Liberia Football Association Technical Director Henry Browne, leaves in two parts of 13 persons. Browne, Secretary/Media officer Gustufus Karpeh, trainer Emmanuel Bearkie and players Jackie Touah, Diamond Dahn, Margaret Stewart, Marie Flomo, Jennie Tisdell, Sylvia Pyne, Success Gaye, Ruth Wesseh, Pauline Agbotsu and Elizabeth Tamba leave Monrovia for Conakry unto Dakar and Praia.
President Varsay Kollie, team manager Chally Johnson, head coach Robertson Waner, deputy coach Patience Gwah, medic Lydia Grant-Boi and players Susan Bah, Josephine Brisbane, Gertrude Gbormue, Josephine Palipue, Joetta Wah, Jessica Koffa, Marthaline Moore and Hawa Conteh leave Monrovia for Abidjan unto Dakar and Praia.
Striker Bountou Sylla will miss the qualifiers, having been unable to renew her Guinean passport ahead of the trip.
The team with the highest points will qualify for the finals in Egypt.
