LFA Boss Frowns on Women’s Football Clubs Liberia Football Association President has seriously frowned on some Women’s football clubs for not adhering to restriction on funding provided to them, as 2019 Women’s League Assistance.
Mustapha Raji says with intervention made in improving the standard of play of the Women’s football clubs, some refused to pay coaches and medics that were assigned to them by the Coaches Association. Despite refusing to name those clubs involved the LFA Boss sees it as being disingenuous to Liberia Football development process.
According to him, the LFA distributed US$3, 000.00 to each women’s football club as local sponsorship fund, before providing US$3, 937.00 as 2019 Women’s League Assistance. He said the 2019 Women’s League Assistance was provided to address issues relating to payment of Coaches, medics and team managers as well as transportation for games and trainings and water.
