Edwin Boakai finally laid to rest in an NPA Anchor’s goalie suit.

Fallen NPA Anchors shot stopper, Edwin Boakai has finally been laid to rest.NPA Goalkeeper, Edwin Boakai on June 17, 2019 collapsed and died during a practice session with the club.

Though the club is yet to release the medical report, many believed that the player died as a result of cardiac arrest.Due to his outstanding performance between the sticks, a massive crowd of fans, friends and relative dressed in black, white and purple respectively turn out on Friday afternoon to honor the final homecoming of the fallen goalie.

A night of wake keeping was held at his residence in Wroto town, Air Field on Thursday, June 27 followed by a mini funeral service at the St. Moses Funeral Parlour and later buried at the Brewerville Cementery on Friday, June 28, 2019.

The Goalie was dressed in a green shirt, a shorts to match and a yellow glove with both hands crossing on top of the ball placed on the abdomen.The acting President of the NPA Sports Association, Augustus Kollie rained praises on the deceased emphasizing his contribution to the club.”We loss a very great player, his absence has created a serious vacuum that might be very difficult to fill,” Kollie added in a sorrowful tune. Speaking on behalf of the football house, Deputy LFA Secretary General, John Bonnah extended the LFA’s deepest condolences to the bereaved family .
