Monrovia-A two-day lower women’s mini league, which was organized by the Liberia Football Association (LFA), ended at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) on Thursday. Ravia Angels FC whitewashed Brakay FC 5-0 in game one with a hat-trick for Janet Kiazolu and a brace for Rachel Mulbah. Shaitta Angels FC and United Girls FC settled for a goalless draw in game two.
In game three, Falconet FC and DC Shooters FC also drew goalless while Ambassadors Football Club pinned City Football Academy 1-0 in game four. Christine Kerkulah’s 66th minute penalty separated the two sides. New Georgia Super Stars condemned Brakay to the second defeat with a 2-1 victory in the day’s last match.Elizabeth Davis gave New Georgia the lead by converting a 10 minute penalty and Bendu Kromah doubled their advantage eight minutes later but Mary Bryant pulled one back in the 51st minute.
The women’s mini league kicked-off at the ATS on Tuesday.In game one, New Georgia lost 0-1 to Shaitta with Lorpu Carlon on target in the 36th minute.Janet Kiazolu scored in the 42nd minute to give Ravia Angels a 1-0 victory over DC Shooters in game two.
In game three, United Girls FC drew 1-1 City Football Academy.Princess Fayiah drew the first blood in 22nd minute but Diatha Langama shared the spoils in the 67th minute.Soccer Ambassadors lost 0-1 to Falconet with Rhoda Nyumah on target in 23rd minute to close day one. Each team received L$12,000 (US$60) from the LFA as appearance fee in addition to the provision of water. It was an awareness showpiece ahead of the 2019/2020 LFA lower league for female clubs.
