The Ministry of Youth and Sports has disclosed plans to launch the first Vacation Sports Camp in Liberia .The Assistant Assistant Minister for Sports at the Ministry, James Toee said the program is aimed at empowering children through sports during this vacation.
Asistant Minister Toee said the maiden edition of the event will run from July to August and feature five disciplines namely football, basketball , athletics, volleyball 🏐 and life skills.
According to him, the program is targeting two thousand children across Liberia between the ages of 6-17 years while parents are required to pay 5usd or its equivalent for each child interested in the 2019 sports camp.The Assistant Minister for Sports at the Ministry of Youth and Sports added that application forms can be picked up at the MYS Sports Bureau while all financial transactions will be done at the Ministry’s Finance section.
Assistant Minister Toee is calling all parents and guardians to take advantage of this program in an effort to promote their kids through sports and keep them busy during this vacation .
