MoYS Minister advise Musa Shannon-“concentrate on your campaign “

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has rejected as untrue and baseless accusations, emanating from former Liberia Football Association (LFA) 1st vice president Musa Shannon on counts of the ministry’s interference in the association’s president election, whose recent outcome has been challenged in the Supreme Court of Liberia.

Shannon recently filed a complaint to world football governing body FIFA, accusing the ministry and the Government of Liberia of directly interfering in the election.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, D. Zeogar Wilson, however, refutes the accusations on grounds that Shannon has presented no evidence that warrants his claims.“I hope Mr. Shannon will concentrate on his campaign to win the LFA presidency, rather than accuse people of interference,” Minister Wilson says.

The ministry re-emphasizes its neutral role in the election, while urging the LFA presidential candidate to desist from making flimsy excuses.
