Sam Johnson on target for Vaalerenga against IK Start

Liberian forward Sam Johnson scored a brace for Vaalerenga in their 3-2 win against IK Start at the 16,555 seated Intility Arena in the Norwegian Eliteserien on Sunday afternoon.

The Bohemians opened the scoring account after Sam Johnson superbly finish in the 25 minutes.The former Wuhan Zall and Djurgarden player scored another in the 57 minutes to further put Vaalerenga in the lead.IK Start star, Mathias Bringaker got a consolidated goal in the (88 minutes) but was replied a minute later through Vaalerenga star, Bard Finne.Herolind Shala scored the final goal of the evening to settle the score at 3-2 .

Sam Johnson joined the Norwegian club on Jan 23, 2018 from Chinese club Wuhan Zall in a deal reportedly worth 700,000 Euros.Johnson lasted full throttle for Vaalerenga and helped the Oslo based club occupy the 6th position on the Eliteserien League table with 36 points.Before his move to Chinese club Wuhan Zall, Russian club CSKA Moscow, Scottish Giant Celtic, French side Bordeaux, Lokomotiv Moscow as well as Sevilla were all believed to have seek interest in the Liberian International .
