One of Liberia’s young fast raising star in the local league and LISCR FC’s winger, Edward Ledlum was named Man-of-the-Match in Liberia 1st match at the ongoing West African Football Union (Wafu) Championship ,U-20 match against the Gambia U-20 game in Conakry, Guinea.
Despite Liberia losing painfully to the their Gambian counterpart for the second time in succession ,it was a sad day for the young Liberia as he pick-up the accolade from the organizers of the competition . Liberia recorded a 1-0 defeat from the Gambia .
Ledlum was rated as the standout player in the match by the technical study body of U-20 WAFU Competition , with his outstanding performance which adjudged him the award.The Liberian winger was sensational throughout the game on the left flank of Liberia Under-20 attack with his dexterity on the ball and admired by many football fans and whenever he had the ball in his possession the opponent defense was send troubled ,this was what the Gambia match was thrilled with.
Ledlum ,will have to help his side to record a win against the Under-20 side of Mali come on Saturday November 30,2019 in their final Group game. A possible win win for Liberia will see team Liberia qualify to the next round of the competition.
